Product Review: Corsa Sports Helmets from AGV

AGV as a brand is esteemed for building crash helmets that keep you safe and sound on the racetracks. These helmets are renowned for their stability while the rider moves at a high speed.

AGV Corsa and its features:

Corsa and Corsa R from AGV helmets are sports helmets distinguished in protecting bikers during major crashes. For more serious riders who spend most of their waking hours on the tracks, AGV designed their expensive Pista GP and Pista GP-R helmets.

The new AGV Corsa, on the other hand, is more rider-friendly and definitely comes at a cheaper price. Also, the best part about it is that it is very similar to the AGV Pista models. These full-faced helmets are ideal for less extreme races on sports bikes and are made of carbon, aramid, and fiberglass. Being light (1.35 kgs only) and well-ventilated, makes these helmets perfect wear for reasonably dangerous laps.

Safety:

According to SHARP, (the helmet safety scheme), AGV Corsa has been rated 5/5 in terms of safety. In 2017, the Corsa was upgraded to a Corsa R and these come with double-sided pads within the comfort lining. Corsa R provides you an Emergency Quick Release System (EQRS) and has scored the highest in the Crash Helmet Test by SHARP. The Corsa is available in 4 shell sizes and comes with a lid that fits everyone. The opening of the visor of this helmet is both wide and high which ensures better visibility of the tracks.

Noise and Accident Protection:

When it comes to noise cancellation, AGV does not live up to the standards. While AGV really concentrated on superb ventilation and performance, they did not pay equal attention to the noise factor that plays a crucial role in races. The front portion of the helmet has a small opening where the air is attacked to reduce the resistance caused by winds. In turn, the air goes directly to the rear spoiler. The spoiler has an additional feature wherein it breaks during an accident in place of digging in and rotating the helmet. The bottom of the helmet is designed to ensure protection from collarbone
fractures at the time of an accident. Lastly, the aero of these helmets also sits perfectly with the hump of your suit.

Design:

Being a high-end helmet that is purposeful and expensive, the Corsa has a lean body and comes with few graphics. The designs include Valentino Rossi and Guy Martin’s colors, one which is gloss black and white, and graphics from the Soleluna and Misano.

Overall, it is a great choice if safety is your priority as the models have been carefully designed to ensure maximum protection in the unlikely event of an accident or fall. If you are looking for AGV helmets in Dubai, check out the Motofever online store for bike accessories and riding gear.
